MDU Maharshi Dayanand University is a State University Rohtak Haryana established for promote high standard education to welcome student. This University established in the year 1970 under the Haryana Government Act 25 of 1975. This University named after a social reformer & founder of the Arya Samaj, Maharshi dayanand Saraswati. As per details find out about MDU- in November 1978, this University got recognition of affiliating University by the UGC_ University Grants Commission. This University etablsihed at a beautiful place of Rohtak Haryana which is 75 kms way from the National Capital of New Delhi. This University covers/spread over a land of 622 (Six Hundred Twent two) acres. In seven districts of Haryan at least 250 (Two hundred Fifty) Colleges work under the affiliation of MDU_ Maharshir Dayanand University. The University offers 196 (One Hundre Ninety six) programmes through 10 (Ten) faculities and the University also 279 Classrooms & 19 Teaching blocks. The University Of MDU with its 42 Departments, Centers, Institutes along with satellite campus at MDU-CPAS, Gurugram.  The MDU has its well established sports stadium, wrestling hall, boxing hall, tennis court, sports hostel, swimming pool, kabbadi hall, When any body visits MDU, you will get all side greenery , flowers and plants. The University of MDU has it well structured library with thousands of books and reading room for students where they can books as per their need for study free of cost. Admission to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes at MDU Rohtak on the basis of academic merit and final result qualifying examination but 85% seats are reserved for State quota which also includes SC, ST & EWS & another categories Rohtak, Haryana. As we all know admission notification released every new year for new admission session and fee may also be changed little bit both for General and reserved categories. The MDU accepts admission application form online only with fee fro general category of Rs 1000/= & Rs 250/= for SC & BC Category of Haryana State Only.

Maharishi Dayanand University houses Directorate of Distance Education where this University runS 13 Undergraduate & Postgraduate Programmes and this distance education is recognized by the DEB_Distance Education Bureauof UGC_ University Grants Commission.

The University of Maharshi dayanand University has been awarded;

Grade A+ by NAAC with CGPA of 3.44

Ranked 35th among State Public Universities in India  in NIRF 2024 by Ministry of Human Resource Department, Government of India. 

Granted Green Institutional Mentor Award by Ministry of Human Resource Department in 2020.
